The North Pine Water Treatment Plant (WTP) is the region’s second largest WTP connected to the South East Queensland (SEQ) Water Grid in 2008 via the Northern Pipeline Interconnector. It is a conventional treatment plant using coagulation, sedimentation, sand filtration and chlorination.
The North Pine Water Treatment Plant (WTP) turns raw water into safe, drinkable water for the northern Brisbane and Moreton Bay regions. The treatment plant is located downstream and adjacent to the North Pine Dam and can treat up to 250 megaliters (ML) of water per day.
The designers conducted a peer of the North Pine Hub Strategic Assessment in accordance with the Building Queensland’s Business Case Development Framework. To proceed through the investment gateway, management requested some additional assessments to facilitate the gateway approval.
Bellwether conducted an independent technical peer review of the Technical Analysis Memo and prepared a report of findings.
Our team prepared cost estimates for two options for the North Pine Pump Station Upgrade. We were also tasked with reviewing two concept design options provided by Seqwater and advised the best class of estimate possible given the information available.
