Harrington Road & Coopernook Road Pacific Highway Improvements

The Australian and NSW Governments are jointly funding a $60 million upgrade to the Pacific Highway intersections at Harrington Road and Coopernook Road on the NSW mid-north coast to improve safety and reduce the risk and severity of crashes for motorists.

As part of the concept design, Bellwether been working with Transport for NSW, facilitating the constructability, safety in design and risk management workshops. Constructability workshops are an important step in identifying potential issues associated with the construction of the project and developing strategies to manage these issues, along with the safety in design workshop which helps to identify hazards and implement controls through design to minimise the risk to health and safety across a project’s entire lifecycle. The risk management workshops provide a forum for identifying, assessing, and managing broader risks associated with the project.

Bellwether Consulting are proud to represent our clients in the development of this highway upgrade safety project. The project will be crucial to improving safety and efficiency on one of the busiest highways in the state, and we are thrilled to have played a role in its success.

We are looking forward to assisting more clients and continuing our representation in this area with similar projects as we attend the TfNSW North Region Showcase this Friday in the Hunter Valley. This event will be an excellent opportunity to meet with other professionals and discuss ways to improve highway safety statewide.
