As part of the Natural Disaster Relief and Recovery Assistance Funding, Richardsons
Bridge on Darkwood Road, Thora, had been identified for repair following the 2015
floods. Bellwether Contractors was engaged to undertake the necessary repairs on
Richardsons Bridge.
The repairs entailed:
- Realignment of the bridge over the piers (the timber girders were moved by strong current during the 2015 floods)
- Replacement of timber sill logs and corbels.
The work was successfully completed over a week end to minimise the disruption to residents.
