Noosa Parade corridor upgrade, Noosa Heads
Stage 2 update

Stage 2 of the Noosa Parade Corridor upgrade will commence in mid-May. This stage is located between Lagoona Drive and Belli Street, Noosa Heads. A phased approach is being adopted to accelerate works, which will see preliminary Stage 2 activities commence as Stage 1, between the Munna Point Bridge and Lagoona Drive, is completed.

On-street parking changes
Parking bays along Noosa Parade between Lagoona Drive and Belli Street will be used as temporary traffic lanes while the works are underway in the median. The parking bays in this area will be removed in mid-May. If you usually park a vehicle or boat trailer in this section of Noosa Parade, you will need to make
alternate arrangements while construction is underway. Vehicles in the work zone will be towed. Parking bays between the Munna Point Bridge and Lagoona Drive will reopen as soon Stage 1 is completed in early June, weather permitting.

Vegetation removal
From mid-May, vegetation in the median and road reserve will be removed. A selection of appropriate trees and shrub species will be planted as part of the enhanced landscaping, providing more shade and visual appeal through the corridor.

Pre-construction surveys
Pre-construction property condition surveys will be conducted on some properties in Stage 2 to document external features, such as, retaining walls, paths and driveways, and fencing. This is
to get an accurate record of the condition of notable structures near construction work.
A representative of AusDilaps, who is completing the surveys on behalf of Bellwether Contractors, will contact residents directly. Locals will see inspectors out and about during the coming weeks.

Traffic and property impacts
Motorists are reminded to drive to the changed conditions, follow signage, and allow additional travel time. Short-term lane closures may also be required while work is underway, with traffic control directing traffic. For the safety of workers who are in close proximity to live traffic, all motorists are reminded to adhere to the reduced speed limit. Access to properties along Noosa Parade will generally be maintained while work is underway. In the event, any disruptions are expected, such as during driveway demolition and construction, Bellwether will contact residents before work starts so alternative arrangements can be made.

We appreciate your patience and co-operation while these important works are underway.
