Project Description

Moreton Bay Regional Council are proposing to remediate the existing noise barrier along the Bruce Highway in Caboolture.

Project Background

There are three (3) types of Defects which require rectification;

Defect 1 – Void filling along the entire length of the noise wall (1540m) with stabilised sand with an area of rectification of 0.5m deep x 0.4m wide.
Defect 2 – 48 locations x 4m in length, where the concrete support base has collapsed in the centre, these are to be supported in place, and stabilised sand applied as per Defect 1.
Defect 4 – 28 locations where 3 new additional bolted brackets and local adjustment of the existing panels is required.

ARUP has requested Bellwether Contractors develop a Construction Cost Estimate for the remedial works on an existing noise barrier in Caboolture.
