Taking place on Musgrave Street between Milden and Dear Streets these works continue the theme of Stage 1, undertaken in 2011. Aiming to improve the amenity of the Gin Gin CBD as well as facilitating commercial prosperity of the retail area.Bundaberg Regional Council sought to engage a suitably qualified Principal Contractor to construct Stage 2 of the Gin Gin Streetscape in accordance with the project scope and specifications.

What we delivered

As Principal Contractor Bellwether Contractors Integrated Stage 2 of the Gin Gin Streetscape with the previous Stage 1 works in accordance with the project scope and specifications as provided by Bundaberg Regional Council. Bellwether constructed the works that included:

Stormwater works, including provision for future connections and new car park on Milden St.
Integration of stormwater to accommodate the Community Hub and car park on Dear St; and
All other works required to the streetscape, including earthworks; stormwater drainage; pavement works; additional parking provisions, including provision for long and heavy vehicle parking; line marking and road signage; lighting and landscaping.

Key outcomes

The works have modernised the streetscape and improved pedestrian access, with safer road crossing options and a more level footpath.
