This project included civil works to upgrade Black Mountain Road to improve motorist safety. The upgrade between Stanfield Lane and the end of the existing seal included minor drainage improvements, local road widening, new road surface and additional signage.

Noosa Shire Council required an experience Principle Contractor to manage the construction of the above-mentioned civil works adhering to all Department of Transport and Main Roads (DTMR) standards.

What we delivered

The works were split into 4 separable portions designed separately however awarded to Bellwether and executed as a single project.The project ran smoothly and throughout Bellwether provided and project managed the:

Implementation of Traffic Control
Program and staging for the works
Coordination of works and inspections as per DTMR requirements
Provision of Quality Assurance documentation as per DTMR standards on completion of works
Construction of all works in accordance with DTMR and NSC standard drawings and specifications
Pavement works
Footpath
Kerbing
Line marking
Stormwater Drainage
Road furniture to DTMR requirements, including the supply and install all street signage and road tactile indicators
