What we delivered

The project included the installation of traffic signals, removing the existing pedestrian crossing, upgrading street lighting, and replacing asphalt and associated line marking.

Work was undertaken at night from Monday to Friday between the hours of 6pm and 6am and Weekend work was also required to minimise disruptions to Harristown State Primary School, Harristown State High School and Concordia Lutheran College.

There were single lane closures in place during work hours with stop/slow controllers to manage traffic flow including school bus access and parents.

Safe pedestrian access for school children, parents & caregivers was maintained throughout project delivery.

“The intersection will be safer for all users including motorists, pedestrians, students, parents and staff from Harristown State Primary School, Harristown State High School and Concordia Lutheran College,” Cr Taylor
