Council required a suitably experienced and qualified Contractor for the reconstruction of an open channel trunk drain at locations along Warland Street, South Mackay. This project was to be delivered within the dry season and with minimal impacts to the surrounding property owners.
Works were required on stage 1,2 & 3 of the Warland Street open drain reconstruction.
The drain is being reconstructed from Paradise Street to Warland Street and Warland Street to Milton Street in South Mackay to help reduce flooding in the area.
As part of the project, the vegetation and trees in the drainage reserve were removed to allow for the construction of the new drain and several fences were replaced to be in line with property boundaries.
Property owners whose fences required replacement were consulted via door-knock prior to the commencement of these works.
This project was delivered on time and the appropriate controls were in place to minimise disturbances.
